How long do featherbeds or pillows last before all the feathers are like gone? i'm thinking about getting a featherbed and some feather and down pillows, maybe even a comforter? How long do they last before all the feathers like fall out? Is there someway to prevent from falling out?

Featherbeds, is there such thing as a mattress that is made of goose feathers? and not a mattress topper and also a website that will show me some would be great.

Is a featherbed or a fiberbed better? I was wondering if it is better to invest in a featherbed or a fiberbed. Has anyone tried using a featherbed mattress topper in their duvet cover instead of the normal down comforter? I have not had good luck with regular down comforters not bunching up etc. inside my coverlet, but I know that featherbed mattress toppers keep their shape much longer, so I was just wondering if it would be okay to stuff my duvet cover with a featherbed instead of the down comforter.

How do you revitalize a tired old featherbed? I bought a really nice featherbed about a year ago; it's still clean and all, but when I fluff it out by hand, it just stays good for a few days then goes back down flat. How to get duct tape off fabric and can you wash it? So i have this featherbed that i use at school... after getting frustrated that the thing wouldnt stay on the bed... i duct taped it in place. now i have the dilemma that im not sure if i can wash the thing without the duct tape getting gooey and sticking to everything, and i have no idea how to get the stuff off - theres no way to take it off by hand or scrape it off.. and the tape covers a large portion of the featherbed. im afraid if i was it and put it in the dryer that im going to end up with one large sticky mess. any suggestions?

Any have a Dux bed? Is it worth over $4000? I have tried five mattresses in three years, including the Tempuer-Pedic, a foam mattress, and several inner-spring mattresses. I have also tried both thick and thin memory foam toppers, a featherbed topper, and a latex topper, and still get back pain and toss and turn, mostly from pressure points. I don't like the fact that sleep number beds have that barrier in the middle, so I am considering a Dux.

Was it cold where you grew up and did you sleep under heavy quilts to stay warm? I visited a friends grandparents when i was ten.
