Queen Down

Has anyone ever washed one of those Ikea down comforters in a washing machine before?

The label information that came with the down comforter indicated it could be washed in a washing machine. I have never heard of a down comforter that could be washed have you?

1. I have a down jacket. The label says, "Machine wash cold. Separately. Gentle cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach.Tumble dry low, with clean tennis shoe. Extended drying time is necessary due to down fill. Iron as needed." I have done this before and it turned out well. I also do spot cleaning in between such as on spots where I might have gotten make-up or dirt on it. I also shook it out after the dryer to fluff it up. I watched that the dryer wasn't too hot either. Good luck. I hope this helps.
2. I wouldn't buy an Ikea down duvet. If I did, if the tag says thread count 180, I'd have it dry cleaned. If the thread count was 350+ I'd wash it.
