How long do featherbeds or pillows last before all the feathers are like gone?

i'm thinking about getting a featherbed and some feather and down pillows, maybe even a comforter? How long do they last before all the feathers like fall out? Is there someway to prevent from falling out?

1. Years and years and years. They will last as long as the other type of mattresses, pillows, etc.
2. IF you buy QUALITY, and IF you don't send them to a dry cleaner, they can last 20 years. DON't make the mistake of buying cheap. When you buy quality the feathers are properly cleaned, the thread count of the fabric is high, and the comfort is UNBELIEVABLE.
3. European down comforters last for years! Just fluff them out after every use, keep them clean and use good sheets for them so that they are protected. Nothing keeps a body warm as down. Like shoes, a good down comforter is not cheap.
